Madhubani painting was born in the villages of Mithila, Bihar — passed down through generations of women who painted the walls of their homes to celebrate weddings, harvests and gods. Today, those same hands paint bags that travel the world.

Around the Madhubani district of Bihar, mothers have taught daughters the geometry of fish, peacocks, lotus and folk borders for over three millennia. We work directly with cooperatives of these women artists — preserving the craft, paying fair wages, and translating ancient narratives onto export-ready bags.
